November is the season of gratitude (well really every season is the season of gratitude), but I think this year it’s especially important to take some time to focus on the good. So here is a list of five things I’m grateful for this year! I encourage you to make your own list of what you’re grateful for in 2020!
I am so grateful for my family! My husband Caleb is my biggest supporter and my solid place when the world feels crazy (which, let’s face it, is definitely a thing this year). My twins Deklan and Makenna are so amazing, and they’ve handled this year so well! School has had its ups and downs with the pandemic and they’ve worked so hard to continue learning! And I’ve loved watching their creativity develop! Deklan has been writing books and having Makenna illustrate them for him, and they say they want to work together when they grow up, making books! I’ve loved trying all the new things together this year!
I am grateful that my new business model has been successful, and has kept me busy during this crazy season! It’s been so much fun! I was nervous about making these changes, and I’ve appreciated so much how all of you have supported me and my dreams and goals, and helped me recognize my own value as a professional photographer! Speaking of which… I’m adding to this one! I’m also grateful that I became a Certified Professional Photographer, and had TWO photos merit!!!
I am incredibly thankful for the chance to be so creative this year! I’ve had the opportunity to do some truly creative themed photo shoots and I’ve even started learning how to do some creative composites in photoshop! It’s been a lot of fun to let my creative self run free and see where it takes me!
More family! I have a lot of extended family around here that I know I can call on and spend time with whenever I need them! I am so grateful to have them nearby!
I am so so so thankful for The Santa Claus Experience, but especially my “Santa” Brett! We have worked together for THREE YEARS now! He is by and far the BEST Santa Claus out there (because he’s clearly the real Santa) and this experience wouldn’t be this magical without him. Kids are in awe of him, parents love him, and I adore him! He’s the best!
What are YOU thankful for this year? Take the time to write it down, and even talk it over as family! 2020 has been a crazy year, but there is still a lot to be thankful for! What’s on your list?
