Can you believe it’s my THIRD BIRTHDAY?! Ok, not MY third birthday, but my business’s third birthday! That’s right, Mandy Penn Photography is three years old! 

Technically, I started taking photos three and a half years ago, but I didn’t REALLY start treating my photography as a business and charging clients until three years ago!

When I look back over these last three years, I’m just in complete shock. So much has changed! I remember feeling so nervous and overwhelmed about all there was to learn and do when I was first getting started. Now, it’s still a bit intimidating, but I feel more confident in how I’ve set myself apart, and I enjoy it a lot more! Let’s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we? 

These are my old business cards through the years, and what my business card looks like now. There’s a big difference! Isn’t it so cool to see the change? I think so!

My website has also changed drastically! I can’t really show you the old one, but take a look at how beautiful my new site is! I decided that I wanted to rebrand before my Photography third birthday, and I decided I needed to hire a professional to make it amazing! I’m SO GLAD I did that! Also, if you need to rebrand, you NEED to use Ashley! 

Ok, but here on the third birthday of my business, I can honestly say that one of the bigger changes is… are you ready?

I am incredibly proud of the growth I see here! I have worked very hard to earn my place among the best photographers, and I’m proud to say that in this timeframe I have been able to win multiple awards, have photos of mine merit, grow my business, become a Certified Professional Photographer, and have one of my favorite photo shoots go viral! 

The biggest change, by far, however, is in me. As a photographer and as a business owner, I am proud of how much I’ve grown. I am more confident, and I see my value! I made the leap to actually start charging that value, and it turns out others see the same value! My business has grown! I love who I am now as a business owner and as a photographer, and I am in awe that I can already see these changes when it’s only my business’s third birthday! I can’t wait to see what this all looks like three years from now!
