Being in a creative business is awesome, but sometimes even the creatives need some inspiration and fun! I like to look all over for ideas to spark my creative mind, and also for ways to just have some fun and take a step away from work. When my friend told me about the Target dress challenge I knew right away that it was EXACTLY what I needed!

So if you don’t know what the Target dress challenge is, it’s basically a challenge to take photos of yourself in some particular dresses that Target put out that look a bit… Amish? Then you post the pictures of yourself with the hashtag #targetdresschallenge. The original post from Lesley Butterfield is hilarious! Her caption talks about how clearly Target wants us all to look like we’d been working on the farm. I couldn’t help but agree, and I also realized: I have access to a farm! My in-laws have a farm and animals and… well, I think you see where this is going. I’m a photographer with access to a farm and I’m obsessed with Target: time for a challenge!

Now For The New Challenge…

Ok… the moment you’ve CLEARLY been waiting for: the new challenge! I call it the Target Rainbow Challenge or #targetrainbowchallenge!

It’s super easy: head to the Dollar Spot in Target, also known as Bullseye’s Playground, and find one item from each color of the rainbow! Display them together HOWEVER you want, and take a photo (or several)! Post your rainbow with the hashtags #targetrainbowchallenge #bullseyesplayground and #mandypennphoto and you’ll be entered to win a $25 Target gift card from me! This challenge will be so fun, I can’t wait to see what you all find and the creative ways you post it! Let the fun begin!
