Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.

The hit tv series The Office is a favorite for many, but if you were to guess which character would come in for a newborn photo shoot, would you really have guessed this one? Dwight K. Schrute (a.k.a baby David Turnipseed III) joined me in the studio for an adorable and, of course, very practical, photo session! The Office themed newborn shoot was so much fun! I added a few of his classic newborn photos, too, because he’s just way too cute not to share. But really… this little Dwight Jr. had me ready to clip a pager to my belt and sell some paper!

Little David here definitely earned that Dundie for being The Cutest Paper Salesman and Beet Farmer at The Office Themed Newborn Shoot. Whew, that’s a long title! I don’t think we can fit that on the trophy…

Yes, I used real beets for part of The Office themed newborn shoot! First of all, the realistic look adds a lot of dimension and vivid color to the photos, and second, the beets are about as long as David! It’s such a cute look, having him stretched out next to these “giant” beets! And let’s take a moment to appreciate how well little Dwight Jr. here wears those glasses!

This tiny little beet farmer couldn’t be any cuter! These beets are felted, and were made by my amazing friend Linda! I love using small, felted items for newborn shoots, because it’s nice and soft on the baby’s skin, and they don’t mind holding it or cuddling up to it.

Ok, now for some classically adorable newborn photos of baby David! He made an adorable Dwight Jr. but he’s even cuter as himself!

These little folded hands are so precious… moments like these are why I wanted to photograph newborns! And the themed shoots are SO MUCH fun!
