Carlye and Levi were one of the most fun couples I have shot with. We had been snowed in for three days (in the Springs) before this session, so I was super worried about the roads and weather. Because of that, Carlye and I stayed in contact up until a few hours before the shoot was scheduled so that we both were still on board with the session. The side roads here in the Springs were kind of bad, but once we got on the highway and up through Denver and to Deer Creek Ranch, the roads were perfect! I pulled into the venue and was in awe of how absolutely breathtaking it was- the snow made for a stunning backdrop for this equally stunning couple.

Cece, the manager of the venue, told me that she has photographers in line for when Deer Creek looks like this, but we were fortunate enough to have scheduled this session a month beforehand!!! Yay for luck, right? 😉

Levi warmed up really quickly and his sense of humor was awesome. A lot of guys are so hard to read and just want to be done with the photos the second we start, but he was such a trooper throughout the whole session. Not only are Levi and Carlye amazing people on their own, but the chemistry between the two of them is so apparent! I am so excited for their wedding next year. They are getting married at Deer Creek Ranch, so the fact that we were able to do their engagement session there made me THAT much more excited for the wedding!
