I do most of my newborn sessions in my studio, but every now and then I do a lifestyle newborn session in a client’s home, and it’s pure magic! Photographing baby Pippa with her family was so much fun. Even her furry sibling got in on the shoot!

Those sweet puppy eyes may look sad, but this fur baby was very happy to welcome the new baby home! Including pets is one thing I love about getting to do a lifestyle newborn session.

Look at that amazing little smile! I’m so glad I caught this moment. Precious smiles don’t only happen at home, but there is definitely something about doing a lifestyle newborn session that relaxes babies even more. It allows them to share smiles and sleepy finger-grabs like in this photo!

These two pups were super curious about their new baby sister, and were very eager to get in on all the love! One of the perks of a lifestyle newborn session is the ability to relax on the bed and snuggle your pets along with your new baby! It makes for such a true-to-life photo experience, and some really beautiful photos.

This photo of new Mommy and daughter sharing smiles is so sweet! It’s like they’re chatting away, dreaming of the years ahead.

One thing I really love about doing a lifestyle newborn session is that there’s a lot more interaction with baby and parents. I can’t imagine not having this photo of little Pippa snuggled up with her Daddy!

Taking newborn photos in the studio, whether a classic newborn session or a themed session, allows for some truly stunning photos, and a great experience. But a lifestyle shoot is so simple and real that it can’t help but be beautiful!
