When my best friend Paige turned 30 we did a giraffe themed cake smash for her. Now that her son Conor has turned one year old, we decided to do the same cake smash for him! Paige had a blast at her adult cake smash, but Conor seemed a little more on the fence!

An Adorable Cake For An Adorable Boy!

This adorable cake was made by SugarBuzz Cakes, and it was exactly what we needed for this giraffe themed cake smash! It looked delicious, too, and I was so excited to try a piece! That didn’t end up happening… you’ll see why once you look through these adorable photos!

Look at this little cutie! I can’t believe Conor is already one year old! Those shining eyes just melt my heart. He was loving the camera before we gave him the cake! And he makes the CUTEST little giraffe in the world! He pulled it off perfectly for his giraffe themed cake smash!

Time To Smash A Cake!

Believe it or not, these pictures took a bit to get! Conor wasn’t so sure he wanted to touch the cake, or if he was even allowed. Eventually, his mom had to help him smash into the cake and show him that he was allowed to eat it, and then he went wild! He went so wild, in fact, that his feet went all through the cake, along with his little giraffe tail, and none of us would get to try that cake after Conor!

The crying photo was actually BEFORE the confetti, funnily enough. Conor was upset that he was all messy and I wasn’t cleaning him up! I love the pictures of babies smiling, but there is still something magical and precious about those crying photos. I can’t help it!

I really thought the confetti would scare Conor, but it ended up being what distracted him from his crying! He loved watching it fall, and got right back into the party! He was even ready for some apple juice, before packing up his props and preparing for a bath!
